ART ON TABLE
The French glassware of Saint Louis, founded in 1586, has always produced exquisite workmanship: flower holders, glasses, chandeliers and decorative objects of the highest quality. The characteristics that distinguish Saint Louis are culture, art, class and quality, giving unique signs of style. Among their most popular collections there is their Tommy glass service created in 1928. It had its worldwide consecration during the sumptuous royal lunch, held in Versailles in 1938 to celebrate the visit of the British king George VI and his wife Elizabeth. The table set consisted of eleven different glasses of Tommy decoration for the over two hundred guests. Over time, the Tommy collection of Saint Louis has been enriched with technical whiskey glasses and longdrink glasses, splendid flower holders and the legendary colored roemer glasses in nine different shades. Saint Louis was acquired by the Hermes group in 1989.
