BALLPOINT PEN 129419, LIMITED EDITION STEVENSON - MONTBLANC
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1850, Robert Louis Stevenson ardently desired two things: freedom and the diversion of immersing himself in another world. He wrote essays and travel narratives, as well as his legendary adventure stories populated by extraordinary characters whose names sent shivers down the spines of readers around the world: Long John Silver, Captain Flint, Dr. Jekyll, and Mr. Hyde. The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson is dedicated to this immensely creative storyteller. Many decorative details of this edition are inspired by the novel "Treasure Island." The overall shape of the writing instrument, combined with the rings on the cone, recreates the effect of a historic extendable spyglass. The black precious resin barrel is adorned with engraved crosses, including a larger "X" similar to the one used to mark the position of treasure on a map. The cap of the Writers Edition is adorned with vertical lines reminiscent of the planks of the schooner "Hispaniola" and a traditional sea chest. Behind the platinum-coated clip, the lines converge to create a compass rose, while the clip reproduces the shape of a belaying pin, to which the lines of a ship's rigging would be fastened. The top of the cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem, adorned with the pirate symbol - a skull and crossed bones - elevated at the center. The cap ring is adorned with the engraving of Stevenson's signature and the publication date of his first work, "The Pentland Rising," in 1886. The years of Robert Louis Stevenson's birth and death (1850-1894) are engraved on the cap.
